Trump Derangement Syndrome & COVID-19

*As someone with a well known reputation as being an avid Trump supporter in my building, and in my neighborhood on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I have come under attack with some frequency from Trump haters, and the tone has been more civil than it might otherwise be, given my also known reputation to speak from the diaphragm with lots and lots of facts, and my absolute willingness to get mean if treated meanly.

Indeed, I am happy to reveal a razor sharp tongue to those who seek to shout me down with that nasty brand of viciousness so common among those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), and I win every damn time.  I also was physically attacked by one man in the neighborhood, once, and he went from a hospital bed straight to a jail cell.  He now steers very clear of me here in the ‘hood.  Seriously, I am not to be touched, at all, ever.  There are some who know of this altercation, word spread a bit, and deference ensued among insiders.

As we face this COVID 19 infectious disease, however, the tone has changed for those who have chosen to attack more vehemently.  I have been lashed out at a handful of times.  Words like “this is going to do him in, mister, and only fools still support him” and “I hate this president, and any sane person would too” have been hurled in my direction, uttered very loudly. Iranian Aggression

*We are living in a strange day, age and era in American history, and presidential politics, and it isn’t pretty.  It is the Democratic Party of this modern age that has steadily been bringing us to an eerie, creepy time in our nation’s history, and all good Democrats among us need to revolt against their party leadership.  Also, all good Democrats within the power structure of their party need to start taking action against enemies within their party, and within our country.  What’s happened with Iran, it seems, can be a watershed moment for what the party will be moving forward.  They are at a crossroads, now, and their party’s survival is on the line.  As one of two parties of the two party system of the greatest country in human history, America, patriotic souls, and smarter thinking democrats, have a choice to make, right now.

Choosing Sides

*Brit Hume, former Washington Bureau Chief for Fox News Network, once said that it’s no longer a simple matter of our country being divided, but it is now more that each side sees the other side as something that is evil, that must be stopped. If you were to repeat this assessment to a good handful of people you will find that most all of them will 100% agree with it. That is saying a whole lot.

It is of paramount importance, then, that we find determinants as to which side is, in fact, the evil side, which side has among them the malevolent and nefarious forces among all of us. To that end, we must expose some cold, hard, ugly truths. And let’s be clear, it’s not that all people on any side are of evil, very surely not, and so those who are not bad actors will feel angry that the sinister people within their ideological leanings are revealed.

Rather than feeling anger, though, it’s preferable that such real truths be understood for what they are, and to also understand that a visceral negative reaction to truth is unhealthy, and on the wrong side.

Truth is truth. Keep Reading

Wild Turkeys – Anti-Trumpers’ Syrian Hypocrisy

*During the time that Barack H. Obama was the sitting US President, the Middle East region underwent a fundamental transformation, one in which millions of people were slaughtered in the streets of Arab cities, including many Kurds.  Millions more people were running for their lives in all directions and there occurred an epic scale human refuge crises, which slammed smack into Europe.  Havoc in many European cities ensued and there continues a great deal of strife in that part of the world today, caused by such massive influx, yellow jackets and all.

The trouble began in the summer of 2009. Iranian citizens rose up in Tehran against the dictatorship of the Mullahs of Iran.  The revolution was put down.  President Barack Obama said and did exactly nothing. Keep Reading

Conway’s Folly

*Given the clamoring among political insiders about aspects of the Mueller Report that they see as problematic for President Trump, and the effects that can have on the American voting public, it would behoove us all to get straight to the bottom of what this probe’s findings really mean to our nation.  It’s not so terribly hard to do.  A quintessential example of how wrong any calls for impeachment, or further investigation of our 45th US President, are, is a Washington Post oped piece written by a top presidential aid’s spouse.

If George T Conway III thinks he can get away with such a lambasting of this president, on this issue, seen in the second highest circulated US newspaper, without it being properly dissected, he’s got another thing coming.   Keep Reading

Tea Time – Republican Resurgence

*In early summer of 2010, coming off a DC Metro line at the US Capitol stop, I found myself walking among a dozen or so people, all of us on our way toward a Tea Party Event being held on the Capitol Lawn.  There was a palpable feel to our walk and talk, very nice, and within minutes we rounded a corner to the sight of tens of thousands of people, tens of thousands of American citizens peaceably assembling to address their grievances, like, say, out of control spending and runaway debt.  You know, “generational theft”, and all.

republican resurgence

A few of the guys yelled, loud, “YEAH!”, and couldn’t help but start running a little.  There were beaming smiles all around as we headed on down to join the massive gathering.  We looked forward, of course, to all the speeches, to the camaraderie, and to taking on a president who’d actually started his political career in the home of a terrorist who bombed US targets, including that Capitol Dome on our right.  “How on earth could any politician working in that building be perfectly okay with a president who was so friendly with a man who once bombed it?”, asked one of the men among us.

We slowly shook our heads.

There is simply no sane answer to that question. Keep Reading

Russian Collusion

*For all of those people who insist on probing, forevermore, whether Donald Trump colluded with the dreaded Russians, the only real question is how hard it is for them to keep a straight face.  These are the same people, after all, who outright ignored the fact that President George Walker Bush deported 50 Russian spies within a month of taking office, meaning that our nation’s capital was crawling with Russians who were gathering information on our leaders during the Clinton era.  Spies, spies, all over the damn place, so readily recognizable that 50 of them could be pinpointed and run out of town on a rail in one short month, and yet not one of those who’re aggressively screaming about Donald Trump and Russian collusion said one lousy word about any of it.

Russian Collusion

Evidently, Russian spies are not a problem for them, only Russians that may have sat, could have sat, must have sat with someone, somewhere, from the Trump campaign, and the Clinton’s are great patriots who colluded not, ever, no, no, no.

Trump – An American Hero

*That today’s Democratic Party has the political gall to viciously fight over a few billion dollars that’re earmarked for strengthening and securing US borders, after having given rubber stamp approval to hand over tens and tens of billions of USD to the world’s number one state sponsor of murderous, destructive, terrorist acts, is ghastly.

It should deeply upset and alarm any sensible person of any political belief set that Iran, Iran, was held on high under Obama, with aid given to them, terrorists and oppressors hellbent on bloodshed, as the US House of Congress sat complicit with and ignorant of the wrongfulness, implications and consequences of such aid to such people (the “Iran Deal” was very obviously a treacherous, and potentially traitorous, sham).

It should also grieve any sensible person that leading Democrats wish only to play out-and-out, highly disruptive politics on the all important issue of the safety of the American citizenry.  Hell, if just one American woman is brutally raped by someone who illegally entered our country then it’s a public safety issue.  Evidently, the Democrats just don’t care, as they hide behind the frivolous notion that tightening border security is somehow not in alignment with American values.  They are all full of spit (please switch out the p for an h if desired). A Throwback to Greatness

*It’s easy to see why and how Donald Trump is the most hated US President in decades, detested by Democrats and any left leaning party, some Republicans, world leaders and their adjuncts and scores of children who’re being roboticalized (read: brainwashed), and probably their pets, too.  Hell, odds are that there are liberal households whose dog actually does bark and/or growl at the mere sound of the man’s name.

The people who hate Trump see him as overbearing, pernicious, noxious, egocentric, boorish, flippant.  To them, he is glib, smug, deceitful, mendacious, and any other synonymous adjectives that can be thought of, is a man who lies at will and has a horrid track record of bankruptcies and ripping people off left and right.  Trump’s hate-filled critics foolishly see his flaws as his totality, as all he was, is or ever will be.  And to them he is, in short, evil.

It is also easy to see that Donald Trump is one of a kind, and is as needed right now as he is custom fit for the American Presidency.  Keep Reading

Left Wing Violence

*Johnny Depp, the actor, asked a raucous audience one day “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?“.  He immediately asserted that he, himself, is not really an actor, but that he’s just a guy who “lies for a living”, adding “however, it’s been a while, maybe it’s time”.  No, Mr. Depp, you do not lie for a living, you are, in fact, an actor, although you certainly do lie through your teeth about politics and life in general outside of your chosen profession.

Johnny Depp is a terrible liar day to day, yes, like much of the left wing is, and he’s very clearly got missing pieces, damn dumb, actually.  He incited violence that day, or, certainly, violent thought processes.  Perhaps he steeped his own persona too deeply in a pirate’s life, and he is barely any better than one, if better at all.  Talk of it being time for an actor to assassinate a sitting US President ought to have had him arrested by the time he got off that stage surrounded by his lowlife fans (anyone who whoops it up, laughs, cheers and claps at the notion of killing anyone, including President Trump, are lowlifes).

Those who accuse President Trump today of fomenting violence didn’t bat a lash at Depp’s rant.

Good Democrats – Take Your Party Back

*As a nation watched, the recent Senate Confirmation process for a United States Supreme Court nominee was reduced from “he’ll sail right through”, to a cruel and calculated political hit against one of the finest jurists this country has ever produced.  It is important to understand, here, that the drama on display was not ever about Judge Brett Kavanaugh in the first place, at all, but about just how far off the rails the Senate Democrats have gone, and on top of that, about the #metoo movement being weaponized against a conservative man in his quest to faithfully serve.

Trump Impeachment – The Establishment’s Double Standard

*After bang, bang, bang, bang banging, bang banging away for two years, those who viciously hate the current Republican US President, Donald Trump, have come up with an aging porn queen, a smarmy and cowardly lawyer not savvy enough to know where his bread was ultimately buttered, a man who helped lead the Trump campaign for under a year, and whose troubles have nothing at all to do with Russia, or Trump, a guy with space aliens and six-headed monsters for “news items” who’s sought immunity from the dirty deeds of Trump haters, and a handful of indicted Russians (Mother Russia is well known and admired for its cooperativeness in extradition, after all).  And for having dug these things up by way of their two-year-long daily trolling for dirt, these people are smugly smiling into cameras using words like “scandal”, “impeachable”, “unfit” and so on, while rank and file liberals jump for joy. Thinking that this will all ruin President Trump, however, is as laughable as the notion that the National Enquirer is a journalistic enterprise, or that much of anything in print and electronic media are anymore either, for that matter.

In reality, none of what has been unearthed, and none of what may spawn out of it all in the months ahead, is likely to even come close to bringing President Trump down and will, instead, just continue to piss him the hell off, and the tens of millions of decent patriotic Americans who support him, too.

Cuomo & Nixon – 2 Toxic Tickets for New York

*Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York on Wednesday said, while addressing an audience on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, “We’re not going to make America great again,” adding “It was never that great.

His challenger in the empire state’s Democratic primary, Cynthia Nixon (of Sex and the City fame) stated that the governor seems to struggle with ‘how progressives speak’.

Well, Nixon would do well to understand that most progressives do not have the clarity of mind that she does, and that this is exactly how most progressives do speak. Keep Reading

Hogg Wild – The Arrogance of Youth

A government that exists of, by, for and through its people, and at the same time stands as a land of law, not of men, is as difficult a thing to manage as it gets, and no where is this more onerous than on the issue of guns in America.  Common sense solutions to gun violence are at hand, but stomping out into the public arena with such blinding chicanery and political opportunism as seen with anti-gun Democrats, on a continuum, gets directly in the way of those common sense solutions we all should seek in compromise and unity.

••••••

For David Hogg to be held up as a poster child of choice for gun control, at the hands of puppet masters with axes to grind, is a terrible mistake, and a readily identifiable one.

••••••

By directly attacking an American President and Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces on such a preeminent and potentially dangerous issue as Iran, by way of propping up and trotting out someone so far out of his league it hurts to watch, done with such vitriol, disdain and mockery of the office of the presidency, ought to sound a death knell for such activism, activism that uses death tolls strictly for political benefit.

NFL Protest Hypocrisy – A Foolish Irony

NEW YORK — Professional athletes have every right to protest law enforcement during the singing of our national anthem at sporting events. We can picture the conversations between players and coaches where a guy like Colin Kaepernick would insist that he’d feel like a fake, like a complete phony, if he were to put his hand over his heart to honor a country that he feels continues to treat people of African descent unfairly, or minority groups in general.

Understood. And on some level Mr. Kaepernick should be commended for staying true to his beliefs. It is also easy to see why coaches, team managers and owners have not seen it fit to scorn anyone who refuses to do that which they feel uncomfortable; that which they see as going along with empty and hollow symbolism for a country they do not deem as worth honoring, or worth respecting in moments such as these.

No, they should not be forced to stand at attention, hand over heart, for the singing of an anthem they simply don’t believe in, and no one, anywhere, should be demanding that they do.

The problem is not in these players taking a knee in protest of American law enforcement or America at large. The problem goes much deeper than such things, and is multifold.

The Woodshed – A Reckoning for Fake News

NEW YORK — President George Walker Bush comported himself in the exact opposite manner as the current American President, Donald John Trump, did on the campaign trail of 2016 and does as president.  President Bush’s countenance and demeanor, from day one until he left office, always placed him up high on the high road, never a cross word, always respectful and decent in his approach to the office of the presidency, and to the media.  He treated the fourth estate with dignity, even reverence, presumably out of a healthy respect for the 1st amendment, tempered with a non-confrontational style.

He was a class act, regardless of how anyone judged his policies – right or wrong, we know that he did not speak brashly and churlishly, ever, or anything resembling disdain.  And what did that get him?  The media painted him the fool at every turn.  President George W Bush was so viciously attacked so regularly that it brought his father to tears, his father, a man who’d seen it all, welled up with tears at the treatment of the 43rd American President who happened to be his son.

George W Bush
President George W Bush

The venomous and vitriolic ways in which leading Democrats and the media treated that Republican President should stand as a lesson for us all, now, with the most recent sitting Republican US President since his tenure ended.

The mean-spirited, dishonest and intellectually bankrupt way in which President Trump is being treated by media elites has very little to do with Mr. Trump himself, but has to do with the fact that he has an R after his name.
